PV modules contain electrically conductive materials within an insulating system. In reverse current fault conditions, the PV module's conductors and cells must dissipate energy as heat before an overcurrent protector within the system can interrupt the circuit. The ZW-RCOT device is designed to determine the acceptability of the fire or ignition risk that may arise from this condition.
