This device was developed to meet the bending test requirements of clause MQT20 of the IEC 61215 standard. The device's purpose is to verify that components will not be damaged when bent in the customer-specified direction and radius of curvature.
If the manufacturer specifies multiple directions, the test is performed in the most severe direction. Tests can be performed on actual components or equivalent specimens.

A touchscreen computer is used to control and record the test.
The cylinder is specially designed.
