The ZW-IC is designed to determine the ignitability of photovoltaic (PV) modules by exposing them to direct small flame contact on vertically positioned test samples, without any radiation from external heat sources.
Standards: IEC61730-MST24
  • A touchscreen and PLC were used to automatically control the test.
  • A smoke detector and audible and visual alarm system are included.
  • A temperature and humidity sensor are installed to monitor ambient conditions.
  • A 3-axis motion system was implemented that moves the burner up and down, forward and backward, and rotates it.
  • The burner angle can be adjusted between 90° and 45°.
  • The solar panel can be rotated 360°.
  • Flame height can be controlled with a gas flow meter.
